Wishful Thinking

People say, to feel pretty
One should not have scars
nor marks on one's face.
I guess
That's why I pushed you away
to avoid breaking
this fragile heart to pieces.

Because
I don't want to leave any marks
nor scars.

Like any other girls
I want to feel pretty too.

But,
I was wrong
wasn't I ?
